At Zahiya Academy, we believe in nurturing both the soul and the mind. As a hybrid Islamic school, we are committed to providing a balanced and enriching education through a unique blend of full-time Qur’an memorization (Hifth) and high-quality academic instruction.

Our staff

Sumair holds a Master’s in Education, and a dual major in Psychology and Economics. He holds an Advanced Professional Teaching Certificate and served public high schools, colleges, and universities in USA and abroad. He has studied Arabic language and books of fiqh under various scholars from Jeddah and USA. His 20+ years experience in academic management help guide Zahiya’s vision.

Abdurahman handles day to day operations at Zahiya Academy. He completed his memorization of the holy Quran with Qari Muhammad Sabir in Saudi Arabia; thereafter teaching Quran and Islamic Studies at multiple Islamic schools in the Houston area. He continues to serve the local community in teaching and community service.

Romana has over 10 years experience serving as Principal of an Islamic School. She is also a certified Day Care Director and has conducted numerous professional development sessions on early education.
